As we say a fond farewell to 2018 giving thanks and appreciating for all of the gifts it has given to us we look eagerly and joyfully towards 2019 and all of the wondrous, magical, prosperous and happy moments that are to come.

Every year I urge you to choose a word that you will use to help you to joyously expand your life and help you to move towards the life of your dreams. This year my word is going to be TRUST. This year I will allow myself to grow in trusting myself, trusting my higher power, and trusting in the process of life.

When we come into this world, we are born trusting everything. At that point in our young lives, we are still very close with the Source that created us, so we lived in joy and trust knowing that everything will always be alright and everything will be taken care of for us.

As we grow up, well-meaning adults taught us that there is much to fear in this world. They taught us about poverty, hurt, unfairness, stress, unkindness, inequality and more. They taught us that we need to act in a certain way, go to a particular place to worship, wear the right clothes, and say and do the right things if we want to have their approval. If we did not conform, we were often punished by those that told us they loved us. They told us that we were punished for our own good. We were young and had no choice but to go along with the “herd’s” thinking even though many time it did not feel right to us. With all of this conflicting information we learned to go through life with one foot on the brake and one foot on the gas, and we wonder why we often feel stuck and unfulfilled.

So 2019 is the year that I choose the word TRUST to focus on. This is the year where I allow myself to unlearn some of the fear and limitations that I was taught and replace them with absolute trust in the Divine within me. Each one of us has our very own God-given guidance system that will never steer us wrong. It is time to reconnect to the Source that is inside of you and allow yourself to live in a way that pleases your Soul.

It is time to remember that we are all part of the Source that creates universes and that we have all the knowledge we could possibly need to live the life we dream about. The best part is that we can all use our own internal compass to create our own beliefs and guide our actions.

It is time to allow ourselves to let go of any and all beliefs that do not serve us for our best and highest good. After all, a belief is only a thought that someone keeps thinking. So change your thoughts and change your world.

Lastly, it is time to remember how to trust the process of life. It is time to recognize that everything and I do mean everything that has happened has always happened for your best and highest good. There is no need to regret of any choices that you have made in the past. You, my beautiful friend, made those choices with the knowledge you had at the time. When you allow yourself to have different knowledge, you will make different choices. It is important to remember that everything that has happened has made you into the awesome person that you are today. It is also important to know that you are the only person who needs to forgive you. The Source within you forgave what you did before you even did it.

So once again, my word for 2019 is trust. This is the year that I allow myself to trust in the process, knowing that everything is always working out for me. This is the year where I choose to remember that I am loved beyond my wildest imagination. This is the year that I remember that Source and my entire Divine Team always has my back and I am loved no matter what I do.

This is the year where I ask myself why or why would I give my power away when I have the Source of the entire universe inside of me? So this is the year I stop worrying about what other people think and believe. This is the year that I set aside all beliefs that do not resonate with my inner guidance no matter where I first heard them. 2019 is the year that I live a life that makes my Soul soar.

2019 is the year that I trust with all of my heart that the Source of this great and glorious universe would not give me a dream that I was not worthy of, or that I could not have.
